Caitlin Clark's strong take on Aliyah Boston partnership will scare WNBA rivals

After being selected first by the Indiana Fever, Caitlin Clark is ready to show her worth in the WNBA when the new season starts. And if the Iowa Hawkeyes star is to be believed, her partnership with Aliyah Boston is one other teams should keep an eye out for.

Last year, the Fever selected Boston using the number pick in the 2023 Draft. Over the course of 40 games for Indiana, the 6’5″ forward/center averaged 14.5 points on 57 percent shooting from the field and 40 percent from beyond the arc. She also notched 8.4 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.3 blocks per game.

The past few months have been incredible for Clark as she broke Pete Maravich’s old record and became the NCAA’s all-time leading scorer. Along the way, Iowa Hawkeyes guard lifted her team to the championship round, but fell to the undefeated South Carolina Gamecocks. Nevertheless, the guard transcended the game and built herself as the biggest name in college basketball this year.

Just recently, Indiana selected Clark using the first pick in this year’s WNBA Draft. Apart from the Iowa star, other notable names also went pro, such as Kamilla Cardoso, Angel Reese, and Cameron Brink, among others.

After the WNBA Draft, Clark spoke to reporters and gave Boston her flowers. She also sent out a warning that should put other teams on notice in a video shared by Tyler Tachman on X:

Having Clark and Boston in one lineup will surely cause problems for other teams in the WNBA. Their inside-outside game, not to mention the pick and roll plays they can execute, will be something to look forward to.

The WNBA is set to return next month with Clark making her debut for the Fever on May 14. For sure, her partnership with Boston will be one of the things to see during that game.
